Bramblecrest Garden Furniture | Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, we suggest covering your furniture during long periods of non-use or particularly bad weather. To prevent any build-up of mould we suggest periodically removing the covers to prevent any condensation build-up.
Covers can be purchased for all the Bramblecrest furniture & parasols we sell. If you are unsure which cover will fit your furniture, please give us a call on 01497 847055 and our outdoor furniture experts will be happy to help.
Yes, you can leave the furniture outdoors all year, however we recommend keeping your furniture covered when not in use to avoid general build up of any garden dirt and debris such as leaves. Although all glass on the furniture sets is toughened and tempered, we would also recommend removing any glass tabletops during bad weather when there is a risk that falling items such as tree branches could fall on the glass.
All Bramblecrest cushions are season-proof and lined to prevent water getting into the cushion. They will be fine outside during showers and light rain. If the weather is particularly bad or during long periods of non-use and during Winter, we would recommend storing your cushions inside.
During winter months and periods of non-use, it is not unusual for a build-up of surface dirt and/or mould to appear on the surface of your furniture. This and any other dirt can be easily removed with warm detergent-free soapy water and a soft brush. Please do not use bleach or any other harsh chemicals to clean your Bramblecrest furniture.
Please do not machine wash your Bramblecrest cushions as this will cause damage to the season-proof lining. In the event of any spillages, remove it immediately using an absorbent sponge or cloth and in the case of stubborn stains, they can be handwashed at 30 degrees using a household stain remover.
All Bramblecrest products have either a 1- or 3- year structural manufacturer’s guarantee (subject to terms & conditions). Customers must register their purchase with Bramblecrest within 28 days of delivery to validate this guarantee.
All Bramblecrest woven & rattan products (except cocoons) have a high-quality tubular aluminium frame and will not rust. The frames of the Bramblecrest cocoons are made from quality, powder-coated steel for strength and can occasionally rust, especially if the paint is scratched or damaged in any way. When moving your cocoon please make sure you lift rather than drag your furniture to avoid scratching the frame.
In the event of rust, clean with warm water and scouring pad. Dry and apply Bramblecrest touch-up paint which is available directly from Bramblecrest.
Bramblecrest rattan and woven furniture is made from extruded polyethylene and doesn’t deteriorate in the way that natural rattan does, which means that it does not rot and is colourfast. Prolonged exposure to UV rays may cause slight fading over time, to protect your furniture we recommend using a furniture cover when not in use.
Bramblecrest use their Season-Proof technology on all their cushions. This means that your cushions won’t get wet though if they get caught out in the UK’s unpredictable weather. The cushions are made from a 3-layered system of water-resistant technology – a soft-touch water resistant cover, backed by a water-resistant liner and a non-absorbent comfy filling.
Although the outer covers may retain water after a shower, the water should not penetrate in the filling and the covers should dry within a few hours in warm, dry weather.
If for some reason the inner filling gets wet, remover the outer cover and allow the cushion to dry for at least 48 hours before replacing.
if you are not using your cushions for a prolonged period, during winter or when the weather is exceptionally poor, we recommend storing your cushions in a dry place either in a storage bag or box, or indoors.
