Standard UK delivery starting from £2.95 – £19.95. Your delivery charge will be automatically calculated at checkout depending on the size and weight of your items.
Standard UK delivery for some plants, large items or items weighing over 30kg is between £12.95 and £49.95. Large furniture sets will be charged at an additional £50.
Most of our furniture sets and some larger or heavy items such as compost will be delivered using wooden pallets. These pallets will be delivered using a heavy goods vehicle and will need plenty of room to deliver as well as needing someone to sign for the delivery.
As the deliveries are kerbside, this means that the driver will take the pallet off the lorry and will only be able to move the pallet to a close and easily accessible place from the road. The driver will not be able to wheel the delivery across any uneven surface such as grass, gravel or up or down steps and will not unload the items from the pallet or take the pallet away with them.
If there are any issues with the access to your property, please contact us before your order is dispatched so that we can discuss possible alternative arrangements – failure to do so may result in a failed delivery and a re-delivery charge may be applicable.
Please note we are currently unable to send plants to Northern Ireland.

Just select ‘Collect in Store’ during the checkout procedure and we will call you as soon as the goods are ready to be picked up.
Simply bring your ‘order processed’ e-mail confirmation and proof of I.D. for collection any time during opening hours.
If you would prefer to order by phone, please call us during business hours with your chosen item order codes and payment card details to hand.
Orders for in-stock items received by 10.00am will normally be dispatched within 1 working day (excluding weekends & bank holidays).
Please note that can only take orders under £100 over the phone and that we can only deliver over the phone orders to the registered billing address of the cardholder.
We aim dispatch your order as quickly as possible, usually within one working day of it being placed. If there are delays we will contact you and advise you fully. Our standard delivery time is 3-5 working days.
You must inform us within one working day of receipt if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence. You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
Please note that all deliveries from our courier require a signature and parcels are unable to be left at an address without one. The Old Railway Garden Centre reserves the right to only deliver to the address where the payment card is registered. An alternative shipping address can be selected however we may ask you for further ID proof in this situation. For your convenience and speed, items are sent by courier or, for small items at our discretion by Royal Mail post. Where goods are sent by courier, it is a requirement that delivery of goods are signed for by an adult over 18 years of age. If you are unable to be at home during delivery then please notify us ASAP.
If a customer requests that items are to be left, ‘in a shed’, ‘conservatory’, ‘behind the bins’ or other unsecure, un-documented place within the grounds of your home – this is ENTIRELY at your (the customers) risk. The Old Railway Garden Centre may at its discretion agree to the above however all risk is passed to you.

You may cancel an order at any time within seven working days, beginning on the day after you received the Products. In this case, you will receive a full refund of the price paid for the Products in accordance with our refunds policy set out in Clause 10 of our Terms & Conditions.
When returning items to us, please ensure that any and all original packaging, instructions, tags etc are included as supplied to you. Return the item to us using a recorded/insured service. The Old Railway Garden Centre cannot be held responsible for items lost in transit to us. Please make sure that you include the sales order or invoice with your return.
If you decide to return a Product to us because you have cancelled the Order between us within the seven-day cooling-off period (see Terms & Conditions clause 6.a), we will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 days of the day you have given notice of your cancellation. In this case, we will refund the price of the product in full, however, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. For any other reason we will notify you of your refund via e-mail within a reasonable period of time.
In relation to any products returned by you because of a defect these will be either refunded or repaired/replaced at the discretion of the manufacturer of the product.
Any goods sold by us will have the benefit of the manufacturer’s warranties, which will be for 12 months unless otherwise stated. All warranties are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions. Any defective goods returned to us within the manufacturer’s warranty period will be repaired or replaced at the sole discretion of the manufacturer and will be subject to compliance with the terms of their warranty. All other warranties and guarantees are expressly excluded so far as the law permits.
We will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase.
Refunds outside the 7 day cooling off period are entirely at our discretion, by agreement in advance.
All statutory rights remain unaffected.
