This is a beautiful form that is recorded in Japan in 1710. It has deeply dissected leaves and these give a delicate frothy effect. The foliage is coloured a rich, red-crimson shade in spring and this matures to a deeper red purple, a colour which is retained all summer. In the fall it blazes a brilliant scarlet before leaf fall. It has an elegant growth habit with a weeping growth habit, highly picturesque. At fifty plus years it may reach around 4 metres in height. Tolerates full sun, likes partial shade. Aucuba Japonica 'Crotonifolia' has some rather remarkable foliage which is a deep green and variegated with gold spots. Betula Jacquemontii is a beautiful, tall slender tree with white peeling bark, this variety has delicate, conical leaves that are tinted gold in autumn. Popularly seen as a specimen tree because of its clean lines, its beauty is most evident in winter when the colour of the wood and the swaying of the twigs can be best appreciated. This particular specimen comes with several stems per pot. The pallet will be delivered using a heavy goods vehicle and will need plenty of room to deliver as well as needing someone to sign for the delivery. As the deliveries are kerbside, this means that the driver will take the pallet off the lorry and will only be able to move the pallet to a close and easily accessible place from the road. The driver will not be able to wheel the delivery across any uneven surface such as grass, gravel or up or down steps and will not unload the items from the pallet or take the pallet away with them. If there are any issues with the access to your property, please contact us before your order is dispatched so that we can discuss possible alternative arrangements - failure to do so may result in a failed delivery and a re-delivery charge may be applicable. Betula pendula 'Spider Alley' is an unusual, elegant birch with pretty twisted branches and a symmetrical narrow head. The peeling bark is predominantly silver with patches of pink and brown on the younger wood before becoming totally white with age. Heart shaped serrated leaves cover the tree in spring followed by small catkins. When autumn arrives, the foliage turns to a warm golden shade. This Buxus has been grown as a single stem 'lollipop' style topiary plant measuring approximately 80-100cm tall. Buxus have been used for centuries as a fantastic and dense hedging plant, along with being one of the best plants for sculpting - they really are mulltifunctional! The foliage is small and has a waxy quality, and as an added benefit they are low maintenance, requiring minimal care for maximum effect. Enjoys most garden situations in well-drained soil. This is a handsome, spiky plant that is coloured a light, bright looking pale grey green with a yellow leaf edging. It makes a beautiful eye catching feature. It may produce creamy fragrant flowers in June, held on a 1m (3ft) flowering spike. It is only slightly frost hardy and therefore only suited to the mildest parts of the country unless some protection is given. Cornus Florida Rubra is a flowering dogwood from the USA that can be grown as a large shrub or a small tree. It has delightful spring flowers that are coloured rose pink in this form. The tree has an upright, spreading growth habit and makes a broad rounded shape. The young foliage has some purple tints but quickly greens up. In autumn it becomes rich red brown before leaf fall. Cryptomeria Japonica 'Globosa Nana', little dumpling of a fir has foliage that arches out in pendulous tipped sprays, creating a pretty 'making a splash' effect in the shape of a globe! The foliage is an elegant blue-green and turns bronzed-brown during the cold winter months. This conifer is unlikely to grow higher than 2.5m (8ft) but it will get wider. An elegant columnar cypress trimmed into an elegant spiral that, at its best, is beautifully proportioned.
