This dwarf shrub makes a low, spreading dome of foliage. The leaves are brilliant in spring, a bronzed-gold with rich reddish-orange tints, turning yellow for summer, but still retaining ruddy-orange tints. It also produces clusters of rich pink flowers in summer.
Enjoys full sun in well-drained soil.

This is said to be a very vigorous form. It has dark green leaves that have pointed tips and which are densely held. The plant flowers from mid spring when it produces many pendulous clusters of cream-coloured pinwheel flowers with yellow suffusion at the petal base and tiny orange pin-eyes. The flowers often have wavy-petals that appear to dance as they dangle and which emit a delicious fragrance. This makes a wonderful background shrub for a warm wall with shade from hot sun as the flowers can easily be damaged. Note: These are plants for warm sheltered positions away from cold winds.
