Aeschynanthus 'Mona Lisa' is also known as the 'Lipstick Plant', named as such for its bright red tube shaped flowers resembling that of an extended stick of lipstick. These flowers really stand out against the dark, glossy foliage. Great for beginner indoor gardeners, these arent particularly difficult to grow, but do benefit from a more humid environment and can reach upto 1m in length when hanging indoors. Scindapsus 'Aureus', sometimes known as the Devils Ivy, Golden Pothos or Epipremnum Aureum' is one of our favourite indoor vines. It can be trained to climb, hang or trail accross surfaces and can grow up to a foot a month in the right conditions! The heart shaped leaves have fantastic golden variegation that makes this plant stand out amongst others in your indoor jungle! Multiple varieties of trailing Hoya, which are grown for the brilliantlyl waxy looking foliage with often contrasting flowers. These plants originate from tropical climates and becaues of this are best suited to warmer more humid environments such as bathrooms and kitchens. Senecio Herreianus (sometimes known as 'String of Beads') is a fantastic specimen of trailing succulent. It has many similarities to Senecio Rowleyanus (Curio Rowleyanus, String of Pearls), although rather than having round bead-like leaves, its foliage is ovaloid, perhaps even slightly reminiscent to a tear or a 'bead' rather than a pearl. Saxifraga Stolonifera, sometimes known as the strawberry geranium, is a rather peculiar houseplant. It's often seen in hanging baskets and has a mound of light green foliage, but more interestingly has trailing red stems that hang down with smaller foliage at the end of these 'tendrils', which can be used to start further saxifraga stolonifera plants. Nepenthes 'Bloody Mary' Monkey Jar carnivorous hanging houseplant is a particularly unusual specimen to have around the house! Its large jar-like pitchers that trap bugs to digest for nutrients. These are commonly referred to as 'monkey jars', as monkeys like to drink from the cups! This variety, 'bloody mary' is known for its more crimson blood-red jars which differ from the lighter more common varieties. Rhipsalis Monocantha, sometimes called Pfeiffera monacantha is a brilliantly unique cactus specimen that is often foud in hanging form with its trailing foliage. The foliage is rather flat, with spines that run along the edge of the plant. It has a wonderful flowering period during the spring and summer where it produces a mass of orange flowers that line the edges of the foliage.
